Hei Seki is a Japanese politician and international affairs commentator serving as a Member of the House of Councillors. Born in Chengdu, China, he studied philosophy at Peking University before moving to Japan in 1988, where he later naturalized in 2007. A prominent conservative intellectual, he is known for his critical analysis of the Chinese Communist Party and his advocacy for Japanese national interests. He has authored numerous books on Chinese politics, history, and Japan-China relations, and previously served as a visiting professor at Takushoku University. In 2025, he was elected to the House of Councillors representing the Nippon Ishin no Kai, focusing on reforming Japan's diplomatic stance toward China.
