Hendrik Hering is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Rhineland-Palatinate. Born in Hachenburg, he studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and worked as a lawyer before focusing on his political career. Hering has held various significant positions, including serving as the Minister for Economy, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of Rhineland-Palatinate from 2006 to 2011, and as the President of the Landtag from 2016 to 2026. A long-time member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), he has been active in local and regional politics since the 1980s, including serving as the mayor of Hachenburg.
