Henri Schmidt is a German politician and member of the Bundestag, representing the constituency of Herzogtum Lauenburg – Stormarn-Süd since 2025. Before entering federal politics, he served as a municipal councilor in Barsbüttel and a member of the Stormarn district council. Schmidt is a former Air Force officer who transitioned into the private sector, eventually becoming a managing director in the IT industry. He is a long-time member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), having previously worked for Bundestag member Jürgen Klimke.
