Hideki Gondo is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Ukiha, Fukuoka Prefecture. Born in the former Yoshii Town, he graduated from Fukuoka University's Faculty of Law. Before entering politics, he worked for companies including Ringer Hut, Chikuho Electric Railroad, and Nishi-Nippon Railroad, where he also served as a labor union executive. After an unsuccessful bid for the Fukuoka City Council in 2019, he was elected to the Ukiha City Council in 2022. In 2024, he won the Ukiha mayoral election as an independent candidate, defeating opponents backed by the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito.
