Hideki Nakashima is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Asakura, Fukuoka Prefecture. Born in 1963 in Asakura, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Seinan Gakuin University. Before entering politics, he worked at the Bank of Fukuoka, where he served in various branches including Tenjin-cho, Amagi, and Tokyo, and also spent time studying abroad in the United Kingdom. Nakashima began his political career in 2007 when he was first elected to the Asakura City Council. He served five consecutive terms on the council, eventually holding the position of City Council Chair. In April 2026, he was elected as the Mayor of Asakura after defeating the incumbent candidate.
