Hirofumi Igarashi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Tomisato in Chiba Prefecture. Born in 1960, he began his career as a local government official at the Tomisato village office in 1979, continuing his service as the village transitioned into a city. He entered electoral politics in 2011, serving one term as a member of the Tomisato City Council before being elected to the Chiba Prefectural Assembly in 2015. In 2019, he was elected Mayor of Tomisato and was subsequently re-elected to a second term in 2023.
