笠浩史

Hirofumi Ryu is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives, currently representing the Kanagawa 9th district. A former television journalist for TV Asahi, he entered politics in 2003 and has held various senior positions, including State Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Throughout his career, he has been affiliated with several parties, including the Democratic Party of Japan and the Constitutional Democratic Party, before joining the Middle Reform Alliance in 2026. Ryu is known for his focus on education policy, constitutional reform, and fiscal discipline, while maintaining a moderate stance on security and energy issues.
