Hiromichi Nakano is a Japanese politician currently serving his fourth term as the Mayor of Yaizu in Shizuoka Prefecture. Born in Yaizu in 1957, he graduated from Meiji University before working in the clothing wholesale industry and managing a retail business. He began his political career as a member of the Yaizu City Council and later served two terms in the Shizuoka Prefectural Assembly. First elected as mayor in 2012, he has since secured re-election multiple times, focusing on local administration and regional development. In 2022, he was awarded the Nairamdal (Friendship) Medal by Mongolia for his contributions to international relations.
