園田裕史

Hiroshi Sonoda is a Japanese politician and former nurse currently serving as the Mayor of Omura in Nagasaki Prefecture. Born in Omura, he began his career in the medical field before entering local politics, serving three terms as a member of the Omura City Council. He was first elected mayor in 2015 and has since secured re-election, currently serving his third term. Known for his focus on participatory city planning, he was recognized with the Excellence Award at the 14th Manifesto Awards in 2019 for his policy initiatives.
