He spent his career as a civil servant within the Yanagawa City government, holding various leadership positions including head of the Sewerage Division, Waterway Division, Industrial and Economic Department, and General Affairs Department. After retiring from his administrative role in 2024, he successfully ran for mayor and assumed office in April 2025.
