Hisham Badawy

Hisham Badawy is an Egyptian politician and former judge serving as the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Egypt since January 2026. A graduate of Cairo University's Faculty of Law, he built a distinguished career in the Egyptian judiciary and public service, including holding roles as First Advocate General of the Supreme State Security Prosecution and Assistant Minister of Justice for Anti-Corruption. He previously served as the head of the Central Auditing Organization from 2016 to 2024 before being appointed to parliament and elected as speaker.
