後藤斎

Hitoshi Goto is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors. A former bureaucrat at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, he previously served four terms in the House of Representatives and held the office of Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture from 2015 to 2019. Throughout his career, he has focused on regional revitalization, childcare support, and the promotion of renewable energy. He has held various government positions, including State Minister of Cabinet Office and Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
