天野正基

Masaki Amano is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Komaki, Aichi Prefecture, having assumed office in February 2026 following an uncontested election. Prior to his mayoral tenure, he served five terms as a member of the Aichi Prefectural Assembly, where he held positions such as Chairman of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Committee. A graduate of Kansai University, Amano previously worked for Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance and served as a secretary to a member of the House of Representatives before entering local politics. His political career has included affiliations with the Democratic Party of Japan and the Democratic Party for the People.
