Hitoshi Nakadaira is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kuji City in Iwate Prefecture. Born in Kuji, he graduated from Iwate University before working for the Tohoku Regional Construction Bureau of the Ministry of Construction and later serving as a secretary to House of Representatives member Ichiro Ozawa. He was first elected to the Iwate Prefectural Assembly in 2003, where he served for five terms. In March 2026, he was elected as the Mayor of Kuji City.
