Hitoshi Oguri is a Japanese politician and businessman currently serving as the Mayor of Nakatsugawa City in Gifu Prefecture. Born in 1968, he previously worked for Mitsubishi Liquefied Gas before returning to his hometown to lead his family business, Kyoei Liquefied Gas, as its president. Before his election as mayor in January 2024, he held various local leadership roles, including chairman of the Gifu Prefecture LP Gas Association and chairman of the Nakatsugawa City Board of Education. As mayor, he has campaigned on a platform of generational change, rapid policy implementation, child-rearing support, and urban development leveraging the opening of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen.
