Yasushi Hosaka is a Japanese politician and tax accountant serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Shiki, Saitama, he is the son of former Shiki Mayor Kunio Hosaka. After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University and completing graduate studies at Teikoku University, he worked as a tax accountant before entering politics. He served as a member of the Shiki City Council before being elected to the national Diet in 2017. Throughout his career, he has held several government positions, including State Minister of Digital Affairs and State Minister of Cabinet Office. Politically, he is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party and has supported constitutional reform, including the inclusion of the Self-Defense Forces in the constitution and the establishment of emergency clauses. He has also been involved in various policy areas such as education reform and economic policy, and is known for his participation in several parliamentary leagues.
