Iain Rankin is a Canadian politician currently serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Nova Scotia for the electoral district of Timberlea-Prospect. He previously served as the 29th Premier of Nova Scotia from February to August 2021 and has held various cabinet positions, including Minister of Environment and Minister of Lands and Forestry. First elected in 2013, Rankin has focused his legislative career on environmental sustainability, climate change policy, and social equity initiatives. He currently serves as the interim leader of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party.
