Ichiro Hirosawa is a Japanese politician and former software producer currently serving as the 36th Mayor of Nagoya. Before entering politics, he had a notable career in the software industry, managing the 'Software Vendor TAKERU' project at Brother Industries and later serving as an executive at companies including Kingsoft. He served as an Aichi Prefectural Assembly member and as Deputy Mayor of Nagoya under Takashi Kawamura. Initially affiliated with the Tax Cut Japan party and later the Conservative Party of Japan, he was elected mayor in November 2024 as the successor to Kawamura. He has since left the Conservative Party of Japan and currently serves as an independent mayor, focusing on municipal education reforms and local administration.
