Igor Marentič is a Slovenian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Postojna. Born in 1967 in Ptuj, he moved to Postojna with his family at a young age. Before entering politics, he spent 24 years working in the timber industry, primarily at the company Javor. In addition to his role as mayor, he has served as a representative of local interests in the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia, where he has been a member of the Commission for Local Self-Government and Regional Development.
