Imran Maharoof is a Sri Lankan politician who currently serves as a Member of Parliament representing the Trincomalee District. Born on September 1, 1983, he comes from a family with a history in national politics, being the son of M. E. H. Maharoof and cousin of M. A. M. Maharoof. Before his election to the national legislature in 2015, he served as a member of the Eastern Provincial Council following his election in 2012. He holds a diploma in management and banking and was educated at Royal College, Colombo.
