Inês de Medeiros

Inês de Medeiros is a Portuguese politician and actress who has served as the Mayor of Almada since 2017. Born in Vienna, she began her career as a child actress and went on to have a prolific film career, winning a Portuguese Golden Globe for Best Actress in 1997. Transitioning into politics, she served as a deputy in the Assembly of the Republic from 2009 to 2016 representing the Socialist Party. As mayor, she has focused on municipal development and urban management, winning re-election in 2021 and 2025.
