Pedro Duarte

Pedro Duarte is a Portuguese politician and jurist currently serving as the Mayor of Porto, having assumed office on November 5, 2025. He previously served as the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in the XXIV Government and has been a member of the Council of State since April 2026. Throughout his career, Duarte has held various roles, including Member of the Assembly of the Republic, Secretary of State for Youth, and executive positions within the private sector, notably at Microsoft Portugal. He is a graduate of the Catholic University of Portugal and holds advanced degrees in economics and development studies.
