Innocent Lugha Bashungwa is a Tanzanian politician who has served as the Minister of Works since 2023. A member of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi party, he was first elected to the National Assembly in 2015 to represent the Karagwe constituency. Throughout his career, he has held several high-level government positions, including Minister of Defence and National Service, Minister of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, and Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment. He has also served as a Minister of State in the President's Office.
