Iqwinder Gaheer

Iqwinder Gaheer is a Canadian politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Mississauga—Malton. Born in Punjab, India, he immigrated to Canada as a child and later pursued a legal career, working as a corporate lawyer in New York City after graduating from Harvard Law School. First elected to the House of Commons in 2021, Gaheer has been active in parliamentary oversight, including serving as chair of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security and as a member of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians. He is a member of the Liberal Party of Canada.
