Judy Sgro

Judy Sgro is a Canadian politician currently serving as a Member of the House of Commons for the electoral district of Humber River—Black Creek. First elected to federal office in 1999, she previously served as the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration from 2003 to 2005. Throughout her long parliamentary career, she has held various leadership roles, including chairing the Standing Committee on International Trade. Before entering federal politics, Sgro served as a municipal councillor in North York and Toronto, where she was involved in local governance and police services oversight.
