石井めぐみ

Megumi Ishii is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Nippon Ishin no Kai party. Born in Toride, Ibaraki Prefecture, she previously served five terms as a member of the Toride City Council, where she also held the position of vice-chair. Before entering politics, she worked in the beauty industry and as a nursing care facility staff member, and later served as a secretary to a member of the House of Representatives. In 2023, she became the first female chair of the National Association of Young Politicians. She was elected to the House of Councillors in July 2025, focusing her platform on representing local voices at the national level.
