Jalia Bintu

Jalia Bintu is a Ugandan politician and educator who served as the District Woman Representative for Masindi District in the Parliament of Uganda from 2001 to 2021. Throughout her parliamentary career, she held various leadership roles, including vice chairperson of the Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises and chairperson of the Committee on Equal Opportunities. Beyond her legislative work, she has been involved in peace advocacy and the promotion of girl child education. She holds a Master of Arts in peace and conflict studies from Makerere University.
