James Lister

James Lister is an Australian politician who has served as the Member for Southern Downs in the Queensland Legislative Assembly since 2017. Born in Benowa, Queensland, he holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the Queensland University of Technology. Prior to his political career, Lister served in the Royal Australian Air Force from 2000 to 2017, during which time he acted as an aide-de-camp to the Governor-General of Australia and the Governor of Queensland. He is also an active member of the amateur radio community.
