James Lupton, Baron Lupton, is a British peer and financier who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2015. Educated at Sedbergh School and Lincoln College, Oxford, he built a significant career in investment banking, notably serving as Deputy Chairman of Baring Brothers International Ltd and later as Chairman of Greenhill Europe. A prominent donor to the Conservative Party, he was created a life peer in 2015. Although he sits in the House of Lords as a non-affiliated peer, he is known to vote with the Conservative bloc. He was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2012 for his contributions to finance.
