James Newbury

James Newbury is an Australian politician who has served as the Member for Brighton in the Victorian Legislative Assembly since 2018. A member of the Liberal Party, he previously worked as a political staffer in Canberra and Melbourne, including roles as a senior adviser to former Premier Denis Napthine. Newbury holds multiple degrees in business and law and is an admitted lawyer. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has held various shadow ministerial portfolios, including Shadow Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Equality.
