Jamila Madeira

Jamila Madeira is a Portuguese politician currently serving as a member of the Assembly of the Republic, representing the Socialist Party. Born in Loulé, she has had a long career in public service, including serving as a Member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2009 and as Secretary of State Adjunct and for Health. An economist by training, she has balanced her political career with professional roles at the national energy grid operator, REN. She is known for her extensive involvement in the Socialist Youth organization, where she served as Secretary-General.
