Jan Anthonie Bruijn is a Dutch politician and pathologist who has served as a member of the Senate of the Netherlands since 2012. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), he held the position of President of the Senate from 2019 to 2025. In addition to his legislative career, Bruijn served as the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport in the Schoof cabinet between September 2025 and February 2026. Before entering politics, he was a professor of immunopathology at Leiden University.
