Jan de Villiers

Jan de Villiers is a South African politician and Member of the National Assembly representing the Democratic Alliance. Born on March 6, 1980, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in humanity studies from the University of Stellenbosch. Before entering parliament, he served as a councillor and mayoral committee member in the Stellenbosch Local Municipality. Elected to the National Assembly in 2019, he has held various parliamentary leadership roles, including Shadow Minister of the Auditor-General and Shadow Minister of Small Business Development. In July 2024, he became chair of the Portfolio Committee on Public Service and Administration, and in November 2025, he was appointed as the National Spokesperson of the Democratic Alliance.
