Jan Einig

Jan Einig is a German politician serving as the Lord Mayor of Neuwied. Born in 1976 in Mendig, he studied civil engineering at the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences before working as a construction manager and civil engineer. He entered local politics through the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and was elected as the First Mayor of Neuwied in 2015. In 2017, he was elected Lord Mayor, a position to which he was re-elected in 2025. Beyond his administrative duties, he has been actively involved in youth work and various local community organizations.
