Jan Laeremans is a Belgian-Flemish politician currently serving as a member of the Flemish Parliament. Born on May 23, 1962, he is the grandson of the People's Union Senator Leo Wouters. Laeremans studied Germanic philology at the Catholic University of Leuven and previously worked as a high school language teacher. His political career began in 1991 when he was elected as a provincial councilor for Flemish Brabant, a position he held until his election to the Flemish Parliament in 2019. He is a member of the Vlaams Belang party.
