Prior to his parliamentary career, he worked as the Head of International Affairs at the Steinfurt-Warendorf District Craftsmen's Association. Between 2024 and 2025, he served as Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection.
