Klaus-Peter Willsch

Klaus-Peter Willsch is a German politician who has served as a member of the Bundestag since 1998, representing the Rheingau-Taunus – Limburg constituency. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he previously served as the mayor of Schlangenbad from 1993 to 1997. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has held various committee assignments, including roles on the Finance, Budget, and Economic Affairs committees. Known as a conservative voice within his party, Willsch has frequently been a critic of former Chancellor Angela Merkel and has taken distinct positions on issues such as European bailouts, same-sex marriage, and foreign policy. In 2019, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Fu Jen Catholic University in Taipei.
