Janis Holt

Janis Holt is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Texas House of Representatives for the 18th district. She assumed office on January 14, 2025, after defeating incumbent Ernest Bailes in the 2024 Republican primary and subsequently winning the general election with 86.6% of the vote. In her legislative capacity, Holt has focused on social policy, including the sponsorship of legislation aimed at banning gender-affirming care for transgender individuals of all ages.
