Jay Fisher

Jay Fisher is an American politician and agronomist currently serving as a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives for the 5th district. A native of Minot, North Dakota, he holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in agronomy and crop science from North Dakota State University. Before his election to the state legislature in 2018, Fisher spent over two decades as the director of the North Central Research Extension Center at North Dakota State University. He has also worked as an agronomist for Fisher Research LLC since 2016. Fisher is currently a candidate for the North Dakota Senate in the 2026 election.
