Jay Xiong is an American politician serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2019, representing District 67B in Saint Paul. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party, he is the first person of color to hold this seat. Before his election, Xiong was a community organizer and co-founder of the Asian American Organizing Project and Progressive Hmong American Organizers. In the legislature, he has served as chair of the Workforce Development Finance and Policy Committee and holds positions on the Capital Investment and Economic Development Finance and Policy Committees.
