Jean Yip is a Chinese Canadian politician serving as the Member of Parliament for the electoral district of Scarborough—Agincourt. First elected in a by-election in December 2017, she succeeded her late husband, Arnold Chan, after previously assisting him with his constituency duties during his illness. In the 45th Canadian Parliament, she was elected vice chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Public Accounts. Yip continues to represent her constituents as a member of the Liberal Party of Canada caucus.
