Jeltje Hoekstra-Sikkema

Jeltje Hoekstra-Sikkema is a Dutch politician serving as the Mayor of Enkhuizen since December 4, 2024. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), she previously served as an alderman in the municipality of Terschelling from 2014 to 2024. Earlier in her career, she was a municipal councilor in Skarsterlân between 2002 and 2014, where she also acted as the VVD faction leader starting in 2007. Before entering the political arena, she worked in the insurance industry.
