Jerry Dyer

Jerry Dyer is an American politician currently serving as the 26th mayor of Fresno, California. Before entering politics, he had a long career in law enforcement, serving as a police officer for 22 years and eventually leading the Fresno Police Department as chief for 18 years. He was elected mayor in the March 2020 primary election, securing a majority of the vote. Throughout his career, he has faced public scrutiny regarding past personal conduct and workplace management during his tenure as police chief, though he has continued his public service in municipal government.
