Jimmy Sullivan

James Anthony Sullivan was an Australian politician who served as the member for Stafford in the Queensland Legislative Assembly from 2020 until his death in 2026. Before entering parliament, he worked as an associate to a judge of the District Court of Queensland and served as chief of staff to the Attorney-General of Queensland, Yvette D'Ath. During his parliamentary tenure, he was promoted to Assistant Minister for Justice and Veterans' Affairs in 2023. Sullivan was expelled from the Labor Party caucus in 2025 following a failure to adhere to a return-to-work plan, after which he served as an independent member until his passing in April 2026.
