Jishnu Dev Varma is an Indian politician currently serving as the Governor of Maharashtra since March 2026. A member of the Tripura royal family, he previously served as the Governor of Telangana from 2024 to 2026 and as the 3rd Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura between 2018 and 2023. Throughout his career, he has held various portfolios including Finance, Power, and Rural Development. Beyond his political service, he is an author and has been involved in sports administration, notably leading the Badminton Association of India's Tripura unit.
