João Nuno Ferreira Gonçalves Azevedo is a Portuguese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Viseu, a position he assumed in October 2025. A member of the Socialist Party, he previously served as a Member of the Assembly of the Republic from 2019 to 2025 and as the Mayor of Mangualde between 2009 and 2019. Azevedo holds a degree in Physical Education and has pursued a career in both teaching and local governance. He is recognized for securing the first Socialist Party victory in the municipality of Viseu.
