Joan Kingston

Joan Kingston is a Canadian politician, nurse, and educator who has served as a senator from New Brunswick since October 2023. Prior to her appointment to the Senate, she represented New Maryland in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick as a Liberal member from 1995 to 1999, during which time she served as Minister of the Environment and Minister of Labour. Her career also includes serving as the president of the Nurses Association of New Brunswick and working as an instructor at the University of New Brunswick. Additionally, she held the position of Principal Secretary in the Office of the Premier of New Brunswick from 2006 to 2010.
