Johan Deckmyn

Johan Deckmyn is a Belgian politician and a member of the Flemish Parliament representing the Vlaams Belang party. Born in 1967, he studied computer science at Hogeschool Gent and worked as an IT company director before entering politics. He has been active in nationalist politics since the 1980s, serving as a provincial councilor in East Flanders and as the group chairman for his party in the Ghent city council. Throughout his career, he has been involved in several high-profile political controversies, including a legal dispute regarding a parody of the Suske & Wiske comic series.
