Johann Saathoff

Johann Saathoff is a German politician and member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who has served in the Bundestag representing Lower Saxony since 2013. Since 2025, he has held the position of Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Previously, he served as Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community from 2021 to 2025 and as the government's Coordinator for Inter-Societal Cooperation with Russia, Central Asia, and the Eastern Partnership Countries. Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in economic and agricultural policy, serving on various parliamentary committees and participating in high-level coalition negotiations.
