John Patrick Herron is a Canadian politician currently serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick for the riding of Hampton-Fundy-St. Martins and as the Minister of Natural Resources. Previously, he served as a federal Member of Parliament for Fundy Royal from 1997 to 2004, initially representing the Progressive Conservative Party before transitioning to the Liberal Party. Beyond his legislative career, he has worked as the president of the Atlantica Centre for Energy and served on the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board.
